Quick answer

What is pre-marriage counselling?

Pre-marriage counselling, also called premarital counselling, is a short series of sessions for engaged or committed couples who want to prepare for marriage. A therapist guides conversations about expectations, finances, family, intimacy, roles and conflict, and teaches communication skills that research links to lasting, satisfying relationships.

It is not only for couples with problems. Most couples come because they want to build a strong foundation and avoid predictable challenges later on.
